The Law

Electronic Cigarettes in Pubs and Clubs
There is no law preventing the use of Wisekick™ Electronic Cigarettes anywhere in the UK. As Wisekick™ does not burn tobacco; it is not subject to the UK ban on smoking in public places.

Even so, because using a Wisekick™ gives the appearance of smoking, users are advised to be sensitive to possible misperceptions.

There are however certain restrictions on the sales and marketing of Electronic Cigarettes:

  • Because e-cigarettes may contain nicotine, their sale is restricted to adults aged 18 years and over.

Wisekick™ does not restrict the sale of its products to any adult, however, in the interests of optimum health, non-smokers, pregnant mothers and people with serious health conditions are advised not to use electronic cigarettes.

  • Nicotine containing products must be packaged in child-resistant containers.

Although this applies principally to bottles of liquid nicotine, Wisekick™ has taken the step of ensuring that all of its cartomizers are dispatched in child proof packaging.

  • Wisekick™ is offered as a safer and friendlier alternative to tobacco-burning cigarettes. It is not marketed as a 'smoking cessation device, nor is it presented as a 'nicotine replacement therapy'.

Whilst Wisekick™ makes no such claims in respect of the above, it certainly does recognize the profound benefits that have been reported by so many of its customers.
